Ash by James Herbert. It came out a day or two ago and I just went to buy it in hardback as I have all of his other books and he's one of my favourite authors, but there were none on the shelf. Will have another look tomorrow. I'm excited to read it when I get it. |

As an avid gardener I'm definitely hard-wired on Solar Time! But, for convenience, I round out Dec 21st to Jan 1st and therefore consider Winter to be January, February, March ... and so on... But as far as books go; why does it matter anyways? Seriously, I'm new here and I don't get it. Is it like Movies, where they release them at a certain time to coincide with holidays, vacations??

There's a few books that appear interesting to me, but I have enormous patience these days - mainly because I know from experience how long it's actually going to take me to get to any of these books. However, I did stumble across two that I could imagine purchasing on impulse despite all of that: The Hydrogen Sonata by Iain M Banks Children of the Night by Dan Simmons

Yes. Riveted by Meljean Brook, and Archangel's Storm by Nalini Singh. Both out today. But I am waiting a bit to get Riveted, since it is a bit too expensive for me.
