A wise choice while you continue to nurse. (Actually, a wise choice whenever, since it's the least systemic and most effective solution. But, as you point out, expensive.)
For me, a pot of Okayti Estate First Flush Darjeeling. A lovely way to relax of an afternoon. |

Is Stitchy on holiday or assignment? Just got back from my trip to South Wales and Derbyshire, and plunged straight back into work with a vengeance...
Black coffee in my cup. |

I just got in last night from an assignment that was a holiday. I like those.
But today I took a Busdriver's Holiday and went shooting in Kyoto. The fishies in Micronesia were most cooperative and we were able to get what was requested by the client quickly, and with the water viz so damn clear we spent hours just watching life swim/craw by. So today I went to the "Gion District" of Kyoto to watch another slice of life walk by... the "Maiko-san!" These are the geisha-in-training, and the Gion District is where they all live and work. I spent most of the day snapping away as they walked to and from 'school.' (It only takes about a 20 year apprentice-ship for a Maiko to become a Geisha.) I managed to get several nice photos. I'll put some up after I cull out the mess-ups. The Maiko are VERY shy and usually hide behind their parasols when they see someone trying to take a picture. I figure I got about 3-4 good shots out of 400 images... By the way, for those of your snickering behind your palms, Geisha are NOT prostitutes. That's in another part of town. ![]() Geisha can earn $10,000-$20,000 for an evening's work. It would take one hell of a hooker to make that much! Now I'm going to treat myself to a glass of Bombay Sapphire. I haven't had any in about three-four weeks! Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 08-28-2012 at 06:56 AM. |

Welcome back, Stitchawl, and I look forward to seeing your new photos.
ProfCrash - Aw. So cute. ![]() Welcome back, orlok. Did you get any other photos as gorgeous as the one of Castell Coch you shared? Coffee again in my cup. My throat is scratchy due to the harvesting around here. The dirt blows everywhere and gets in and on everything. |

No change on the job front but we have a plan to limit the day care time. Right now I am focused on enjoying my time with my son.

Indeed, this time is precious. Enjoy it.
A pot of Scottish Breakfast tea. As summer starts to wind down, looking for a bit more body in my tea, and the hint of Lapsang Souchong works well for me in this. |

![]() to ride on the crest of a wild raging storm To work in the service of life and living, in search of the answers of questions unknown To be part of the movement and part of the growing, part of beginning to understand, Aye Calypso the places you've been to, the things that you've shown us, the stories you tell Aye Calypso, I sing to your spirit, the men who have served you so long and so well Hi dee ay-ee ooo doo-dle oh oo do do do do do doo-dle ay yee doo-dle ay ee ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZonmQZG0GQ ) Yeah, I know... I was singing this song when I left, but no matter how many hours I spend underwater, watching the Dance of Life as two octopi go through their mating ritual, or two Giant Cuttlefish flash their colors to each other... even the lowly little Cleaner Wrasse that pick the parasites from the gills of larger fish... It's simply unbelievable.... even when you see it again and again... It's simply unbelievable. I wish I could sing this song... It's easy to play, the chords are simple, but it's the Hi dee ay-ee ooo doo-dle oh oo do do do do do doo-dle ay yee that completely eludes me! Good morning everyone! We had a good shoot under the Guamanian waters, and spent even more time just enjoying ourselves because it went so quickly. I wish I could share those photos with you but by contract for the advertising shoots they belong to the client. I'm happy to be home again, so I can sit back, drink as much good tea (right now it's Taylors of Harrogate's "English Breakfast" tea,) and dream about eating massive quatities of bacon and bagels and donuts, etc., but I've dropped 15lbs on this diet so I must remain diligent for another month or two. I vowed to lose 30lbs total before we return to the paragliding school in October, and I'm halfway there! So just one egg and one toasted English muffin for breakfast, then I'm out the door to walk the streets so more. I think this kid started out at 6months. In reality he's now 8... Quote:
