this seems to work nicely on my K5 I'm thinking a quick 90 degree clockwise and back for page forward and vice versa....

Still stuck for how to bully the framework into turning a page though!!

If I can figure it out I'll put it together in a "bath" package

It detects not just the acceleration of gravity from 90-degree rotates, but also manually-generated acceleration events (like a shake). A quick jerk of only a few degrees will generate a pair of inverse rotation events (acceleration and deceleration), according to testing I did when I first got my K5. They are reported as right/up/left events though (assuming gravity to be the measured force instead of manually generated acceleration).

I've been looking in the LIPC database but can't see anything obvious, does anyone know if ReaderSDK-impl.jar exposes anything useful ???

so

up, right, up sequence for example might trigger a page turn, that way you can sneeze without loosing your page )

I just added "for" to your "waitkey" command name above. I was not asking what it does.

I posted about waitforkey when I discovered it a long time ago, so I know what it does.

I see by searching for it here that others discovered it before I did. Some things get deeply buried here, to be lost unless found in a forum search. That is why I started the Master Index and prefix index wikis.

You can "debounce" a simple left or right jerk, if needed. I pictured a dog shaking water from his fur when reading your post.
