And meanwhile, Apple establishes its own phone network with free download of any data that is Apple sourced? With a Mac Mini or an Apple TV/flash-storage to "tivo" programs? Hmmm.... |

I bought a Samsung 27" 1080i CRT HDTV back in 2001, and it served me very well for ten years. It's still in great condition, I replaced it with a Vizio 46" flatscreen last December.

As for Apple, I often admire their design sense, but they have always managed to turn me off of their products. I've only ever owned PCs, despite lots of exposure to Macs. And the recent spate of lawsuits have really soured me on them. |

XBMC "Xbox Media Center" is open source software that has been around since 2003. Originally done on the Xbox, it was later ported to the PC as an alternative to Windows Media Center. It's now available on iOS and Android. People that aren't interested in Media Center type stuff probably haven't heard of it, but it's popular with the "10' user interface" crowd.

I think apple will still sell well, the brand name counts for a lot an they have their fan boys. However Samsung are catching up. Six month ago I had an iphone and had never used a Samsung product. Now i'm using a galaxy note and i have a galaxy tab 2. My partner also had an iphone and he sold that and is now using the S3. I know a lot of people who have uses apple products in the past but have now switched to Samsung.
