PRS-350 Syncing between 350 & T1?

I just got a cute little 350 and it is looking like it is going to be my "out and about" reader, since it will fit into my pocket.

But I have a T1 at home, and I do like the larger screen.

Is there anyway to sync up between my readers? ie, I read through page 100 of Dracula on the 350 while I'm at work. Is there a way to "do something" so when I come home my T1 will be at the same page? Or is this just a pipedream?

I think it's a pipedream. Sorry. You can't even sync the 350 so it matches the page you're on & then sync the T1 because they don't use the same Reader software on your computer. I think you're out of luck.

But you can use the Reader for PC software with the 350. You don't have to use Reader Library.

That ends the useful part of my reply. the rest is speculation:

I am not sure about syncing, on the other side. My 950 updates position read with the software (I know the T1 had some problems with it, someone else might clarify). Hence, I am assuming, if I plug in my 350, that it would sync. But I plug it in once a month, so I have not paid attention. Since it does not have wifi, I have to manually flip to the last page read anyhow, as I plug it in very rarely. But I thought it would work...

No you can't. I had the 350 at the time I got my T1. You cannot use the 350 with the new Reader for PC software. It doesn't detect it. You can only use the older Reader Library with the 350. AND you can't use the older software, the Reader Library with the newer T1. You can only use the new Reader for PC for it.

Thusly you can't sync the software on your computer with one reader, the 350, to update your reading progress on your computer and then sync the new T1 to update it to the current reading position. Each of those readers uses two different computer software. They don't communicate with each other. They're two separate programs.

I have not tried since last night's update (the new Reader for PC) but, up until yesterday, I have used the 350 with Reader for PC (not Reader Library). It worked fine. I have PRS+ installed, but I seriously doubt that makes a difference.

Both my 350 and 950 work with both Reader Library and Reader for PC.

You know what? I think I'm confusing Reader Library not working with the T1!! I'm sorry. I had such a horrendous experience with the T1 & Reader for PC I think I blocked it out & confused the details!! LOL

Then the OP can do it. Read on the 350. Come home & sync it to the computer software & then sync the T1. Buuuut if they don't sync their T1 with the software then we're back to square one of nevermind.

I have such a hate on though for the Reader for PC & the T1 I don't use it. I add books by drag & drop to the T1 or direct download from the public library or various ebook stores.

Then you simply navigate to the page number you're on at work, when you get home. ]

Anyway, what are you doing reading 100 pages at work ?
Is your employer aware of this ?
Don't you realise just how serious the global economic situation is for goodness sake ?

Come on, get on side, and do some work to lift the world out of the mire, instead of frittering your unproductive time away .....
Think of your employer for once, will you ?

It's people reading 100 pages of anything, let alone Dracula, that has brought us to the present sorry state of affairs.

No worries. No matter what, it is not a smooth experience. I hope the T2 syncs last page read via wifi like the 950 does.

I've thought about the calibre option, and I will probably have to go that route because I refuse to use the sony software. I had one very bad experience when I got my first 505 and I've been a user of Calibre ever since.

As for reading at work. It is called "Night Security"
