Can Onyxreader import and use both a morphological and normal dictionary like GoldenDict? Which ebook reader can do that?
I don't see how to change dictionary after a research from this image.

Can Onyx Booxs 60 (with built-in reader) can import stardict dictionaries?

Could you add new lines/tests on your table? like Onyx Booxs 60 (with built-in reader; approximately from your memory if you don't want to reinstall it) and Bebooks Neo, please?

The original built-in eBook reader of the Boox 60 can use stardicts but it does not work well.

The Onyxreader (not the original one) uses its own format for a dictionary but a dictionary converter is available for converting stardict dictionaries to this format.
Eduardo who made the Onyxreader for the Boox 60 (Bebook Neo) said he tested the Onyxreader against Spanish, German and English. I can say it works very well with German and English, as I use these languages. I assume it works with Italian. I suggest that you contact Eduardo directly on his home page;
Please go to the Onyxreader forum;

If you give me an Italian test text like mine https://www.mobileread.com/forums/att...2&d=1337444249

I can test it with a stardict for Italian language, using the Onyxreader.

Done.

Thank you for your answers.

I don't see how to change dictionary after a research from this image. Are the definitions of all dictionaries mixed?

Hi Il Cavaliere

I did the test using your text. I converted an Italian stardict (3.2MB file) to ond format dict for the OnyxReader, using a dictionary tool available at the OnyxReader home page, and your Word doc to text (Uni-8) with bet suffix. Loaded them onto the Boox 60 and tested them with the OnyxReader.

Results are shown on your original Word doc attached. I added "1" after the basic words when the first clicking a word hit its basic form in the dictionary. As you can see the reader picked up the form you expected except for the three cases. In two cases the reader found the same form of the words searched in the dictionary and thus did not try to find what you wanted to see. In the case of graffi the reader picked up graffare instead of graffio which you wanted to see. I do not understand why, as I do not know this language.
I think the results are not bad.

I do not understand your question. You assign a dictionary to a book on the Menu of the reader. You can see the menu on Eduardo's home page;

http://edu.selfip.net/content/?Onyx_...ons:OnyxReader

I have three sets of the Boox 60 readers, all secound hands, as I am afraid it will become unavailable soon and I can leave the reader anywhere due to my dementia. The OnyxReader runs only on the Boox 60.

Hi all.

Thank you very much for your test. What dictionary have you used to make it?
"graffio" is both a name and the verbal form (first person singular of the present) of graffiare.
Ideally a dictionary reader should display these 2 forms and only these two forms.

As you said, these results are not too bad.

Eduardo answered my question:

It dissuades to use several dictionaries to each page of a book (like a monolingual and bilingual dictionary).

It was not obvious, reading your messages.

What about the use of the virtual keyboard with accentuated languages like french or italian (relating to the dictionary search)?
