Hi,
I wonder how I can run Kindle ebooks on BooxM92. Do I have to strip the DRM first? |

Hey Booxtor! I have sent you a message regarding a PDF document the M92 refuses to open. I cannot make the link to it public, as the journal I have the PDF from would not like me to distribute random copies of it.

There is another bug which happens only since i installed the 1.7 20120726 FW.
It happens when i try to open any PDF using the old "standard" PDF reader, which have been previously opened with the new beta reader. The loading icon freezes and the document never opens. Any document once opened with the beta reader can only be opened again using the beta reader. Only PDFs never opened with the new reader can be opened with the old one. Maybe there are some sort of temporary files the beta reader creates which "interfere" with the old reader? UPDATE: I just developed my own way to fix this issue. Simply renamed the "contaminated" files and now the old reader can open them without a problem. Last edited by thorgal; 08-16-2012 at 09:45 AM. |

Having just tried the music player again, I notice that when selecting songs from memory (or flash), it pulls in a lot of additional files with the same song # (I assume from the MPID).
I think someone already posted this issue, but cannot find it here; nor is it in the wishlist. (Maybe I just dreamt it?) Only me or is someone else seeing this? Cheers! CJ |

There might be problem (incompatibility) with other editing features (like notes, bookmarks, ...). I do not use them. |

Bug in 1.7 (1.7.20120726) : Coolreader lost setup.
Hello,
With the firmware 1.7 (1.7.20120726) and CoolReader selected for EPUB files, when the M92 shutdown and poweron, CoolReader lost some setup for margins, mainly the value for the top margin - the top margin takes the default value : 8. The probleme is when you mark a page for a specific text, after power on, the text could be on an other page because the settings of margin is lost. |

Hi Booxtor,
is there a chance that you could include in the first post the last actual firmware-link which formats the partition of the internal-database if the M92 got bootup-problems? (Sorry, I didnt read all 51 Thread-pages) On the Internet I did found the following link: Here it is: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23593310/update-20120309.zip Is there a more recent one? PS: How about putting the links additionally at the downloads-page on your Website: http://ereader-store.de/de/content/8-downloads PS2: Awaiting my, from your shop, ordered M92 White ![]() |

I just purchased an Icarus Excel (= branded M92 Onyx) and can't find out if I can use the Onyx M92 firmware on it (from this thread). Yours Filip |

Hi,
I don't know if you noticed but I saw this morning that Onyx (finally) updated its website's "firmware" section: https://www.onyx-boox.com/onyx-boox-...x-m92-firmware |

Don't use their firmware unless you purchased your device from them. Onyx website is at http://www.onyx-international.com Last edited by janek; 08-27-2012 at 08:39 AM. |

How to restore default boot screen image?
Lolnoob has asked an important question about a month ago:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=701 How to restore the original default boot image? I was searching like mad the forum and the whole internet for the answer, but could not find any. If you display any image then you can find an option "Set Boot Splash" in the tools menu. I have tried this to see how it works, thinking that there surely must be a straightforward way to restore the original. This was a big mistake, there is no such option (at least not that I could find). I was also searching the directories of the M92 with the otfm file manager for .png images in hope to find the original, or at least the one I replaced it with. No luck. Can anybody please find the original factory boot image and upload it here so that we could replace the custom screen with it? It was an impressive image. If it can't be found, then it would be nice if Booxtor could at least add a warning to the first post to think twice before using this function, because the original can't be recovered. Let's make it clear whether this can be done or can not, so that people should not waste hour and hours for looking for the solution which does not exist. Thanks for help. Cheers, Joe |
