Because you're a friend (and I only make this offer to friends,) I'm going to let you in on an investment concept that I make to my friends who play the weekly lotteries....

I will GUARANTEE (guarantee!! ) you a 50% return on your investment! Yes... you heard me correctly. I will guarantee you a 50% return on your investment.

Now... most folks who play the lottery or invest in stocks lose a lot more than they win, right. Buy a $1 lottery ticket every week, and MAYBE win back a $2 prize every 4-6 months. It happens, right. Sure. But what are the odds? 1 chance in several thousand? How many 100's of dollars worth of tickets do you have to buy to win back two dollars?

But... and here's the guarantee part... If you invest that $1 with "Stitchawl Payouts," I will guarantee to pay you 50% back! Translated into your £1800 tax rebate, this means I will guarantee to give you back £900!!! Can you imagine?!? 50% Guaranteed! And unlike some insurance companies who cancel you out if you collect, "Stitchawl Payouts" will never refuse your investments. I will continue to pay you 50% every time you invest, no matter how much or how often.

You don't have to thank me now. Wait for your first check.

Ordering cobbler/pie for my birthday celebrations this weekend. I couldn't choose between apple-crumble and festive fruits, so I ordered half of each.

I'm also listening to Rival Sons and liking their music very much.

There are times when you wished you'd had a camcorder ready!

As Admiral John A. Fisher wrote in a letter to Winston Churchill in 1917, "O.M.G.!!"

I just let the dogs out in the back yard for their morning constitutional. Crystal did what she had to do to help the grass grow, then went up on the deck and stood there surveying the neighborhood. Norton walked up behind her, sniffed at her right rear leg, then lifted his own right rear leg and performed a purge of one of his major life support systems. Crystal just stood there oblivious. I cracked up, especially as Norton once subjected me to the same treatment in the Reading Room.

By now, surely someone's made a Wikipedia entry for Norton. I don't have time to check right not, but if you're curious, go to Wikipedia and check to see if they have a listing for him. It would probably be under the heading, "Dogs That Just Ain't Right in the Head."

Arragorn still forgets that he is a big boy and occasionally forgets to lift his leg, but there are many leg lifting moments of hilarity, like lifting it too high and falling over, and being wiggly while lifting and managing to pee on his own toes. THAT I could do without, as he then gets stinky!
