Make sure that you have upgraded to the newest version of calibre and that your computer, itself, is seeing your Kindle. I have a USB port on my netbook that won't recognize the kindle, but the other two ports work fine.

If that doesn't work, how about some more info. What type of computer? Operating system? Model of Kindle? |

Where are the books now? I assume they are on your computer and showing in Calibre. Connect your Kindle with the USB cable. Then Do "Send to Device" [either with the toolbar button or Context menu] (to send the file from Calibre to your kindle) Eject the kindle (Toolbar button) and unplug the USB The books should show up in your in your kindle now. |

Please ask Calibre questions in the Calibre forum. That's where you'll get the help you need.

Connect your kindle. Start up calibre. Select the books that you want to transfer by highlighting them in Calibre then press the transfer to device button. Try that and see if it works.
