I've set this to 1/1 in my default stylesheet used when I edit epubs which reduces the number of times this happens. Disregard the .webkit lines at they used when reading epubs on an Apple idevice. Also this only works for epub files, Kobo's kepub is a rather different kettle of fish.

When I was having problems with widows and orphans earlier in the thread, it seemed to be completely malfunctioning with the Rockwell font. I was getting huge empty spaces at the bottom of the page. A third of a page, or more, in some cases. It's been fine(ish - I would prefer to have a full page always) since I stopped using Rockwell.

Hi, I've misspelled a shelve title and haven't been able to amend it, any ideas on how to?

Thanks

I have no trouble going to Library | Shelves then clicking the square of lines at the right hand side of the shelf name, and selecting the Rename option, then after typing the new name, hit Save in the bottom right hand side of the keyboard.

Well, It's now been a month since the initial release of the 2.0.0 firmware.

And there is silence from Kobo. Looks like we're in for a fair wait until they fix the bugs they introduced in that release.

Agreed. I am able to edit the titles the same way.

I wouldn't have noticed issues with Rockwell since I use either the Georgia or Charis SIL fonts. I have a fair number of books that use the macron and breve diacritical marks and prefer not to see them as the boxes most other fonts display.

Weird problem after my wife's kobo upgrade after I had sync'ed mine.

The upgrade created shelves on her Kobo that were on mine. Empty shelves. Shelves names had accented letters on mine, but the accented letters on hers were replaced by garbage.

I removed those empty shelves, but they were back when I plugged the kobo back on the computer withKobo desktop loaded. I removed them again, and created other shelves for hers. I have not tried to re-sync it since, as I have only side loaded epubs

Question calibre With 2.0 fw

Hello,

Could anybody say to me if the new version of Calibre ( 0.8.64 ) is always incompatible with Kobo touch firmware 2.x?

Thank you

@MarFusnet; I presume you are referring to the message from calibre about unsupported database version?

if so... this is a total RED HERRING and the message has caused far more problems than it has solved.

The displayed message mentions unsupported database version. This is nothing more than a "COVER MY A..." message from Calibre.

With the device attached and recognized by calibre, click on the arrow next to "Device" in the calibre menu bar at the top, and and select "Configure this device".

Select the option "Attempt to support newer firmware".

Bingo

DONE

Calibre is perfectly happy with Touch 2.x

Yes it is. Unless you read the calibre message and follow the instructions in it. There has been a LOT of discussion on this if you do a search.

Well, my KT arrived yesterday. I'll be writing an account, with pictures, of how I set it up in a new thread (see: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...70#post2182670). However, to cut a long story short, it came with firmware 1.9.12, so I set up an account via Kobo Desktop, and allowed the KT to upgrade to the latest firmware (2.0.0.c) via the usb lead. Whilst I prefer the home-screen on 1.9.12, I have had no problems (in 24 hours!) with 2.0.0.c, which is what I expected on a clean install - it seems to me from following the forums that the problems are related to changing KTs with occupied databases (which is, of course, totally unacceptable).
