Well, I'm certainly not the person to provide child advise, having done a thoroughly lousy job of it too many years ago to admit. But I have to admit, Stichawl's suggestion of sausage lasagne and Chianti certainly _sounds_ right here.

Home made milkshake! Well, more like milkstir, but still, it's delicious. How come I never made it before?

Boring.
![]() Finished my morning pot of Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend. Now time for something green, I think. A pot of Jade Tie Guan Yin? Sure, why not. |

Lapshang (sp) Second cup. Yummy. Lucas finished the breast and is working on a bottle. I have to wrap the hubby's birthday gifts so I am hoping that baby boy monks out after eating. I have spent the morning organizing the main living areas. They look so much better. Lucas and I went to Target to get wrapping paper. He had a total melt down and totally flooded his diaper. It was an interesting excursion. We both survived.

ProfCrash, I well remember trips to the store with my young son. I quickly learned that I needed to wait at least an hour after feeding before taking him with me. One time, I picked him up and he threw up over my shoulder, right on the store floor. I was so embarrassed.
![]() Water in my cup, as it is so hot here already, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on my plate. |

He was not in a good mod but he is young enough that people did not seem upset. More people wanted to tell me how cute he was. I figure the same isn't true for parents with toddlers.he has been napping in his car seat since I feed him which let me wrap gifts, do some laundry, and haves snack. Not a bad day.
Milk with chocolate carnation instant breakfast and a brownie. Yummy. |

Second steeping of that Jade Tie Guan Yin. Been a while since I had this, and I'm wondering why, since I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Part of that, I suspect, is now having good water temperature control. This was brewed at 175 F. and has much more character and nose than I remembered.

Yes, I've always been of the "full boiling water, for 5 full minutes" school of British over-cooked tea. But I've gotten past that, finally, and am much more aware of what temperatures work for what kinds of tea. (And, FWIW, for Stitchawl's English Breakfast or Yorkshire teas, I suspect that 212F water is actually the right temperature.) But my Keemuns are happier at 195-208, and my Oolongs mostly want to be at 195 or less.
About to head on out for Fish and Chips at the Legion. With a bottle of Keith's IPA. ![]() |

Good morning, All. Breakfast this morning is eggs from my chickens, home made breakfast sausage, and fresh bread my DW made.

Well we got Timothy back from summer camp, and by the amount of sand and water in his luggage, and his very hoarse voice, I am guessing it was a good trip LOL
