Broken Mac versions starting from 0.8.63?
Hello,

starting from 0.8.63, I've got the following glitches:

- sending to my Kindle doesn't work and results in a error window, however the device is recognized both by OS and by Calibre according to ``Debug device detection''
- no categories (Authors, Languages, etc.) are visible on the left column of the main window
- no context menu while right-clicking on books entries
- the columns ``on device''/``in library'' (those with the green check symbol) are absent from the main table
- the starting ``initializing using interface'' logo doesn't disappear

Run console.ap and post the output when you run calibre.

@kovid: this exception will happen if collation_order returns a character ordinal of 0, something that is not supposed to happen. Perhaps the ICU implementation is flaky. At any rate, it (probably) can be fixed by changing tag_browser.model.py line 412 to be
last_ordnum = last_c = 0
