This sounds interesting, so I will hang on to my old phone (which is starting to fall apart) a little longer and see what Santa brings us on August 29th. However, I don't see what good it would do to make such a big device curved rather than flat? The original Nexus phone was curved because it fits your face when you make calls, but this one will rarely be used to make calls without a headphone. And for other uses (browsing, reading, e-mail, etc) a curved phone would be more of a handicap than a good thing.

Perhaps, but if they want to increase the screen size from 5.3" to 5.5" and not increase the overall dimensions then this will be pretty much how it must look like.

Simple. The edge of the screen will not respond to touch. It not be interactive.
