Oh, Lord, kumbaya ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYJMtn6IJeE ) I guess those posts about summer camp gave me some nice dreams... sitting around big campfires, with 100+ other kids singing songs, watching fireflies off in the meadow, laying back in the green grass looking up at the stars... Good morning, everyone! Welcome back to the 21st Century. Thankful that these days I know about, and have, this delicious unbranded Keemun tea to drink (instead of bug juice... [grape or cherry Kool-Aid for the non-campers] ) and a big plate of cold cuts and cheese along with coarse-grained German mustard to eat, rather than little individual boxes of Rice Krispies.. even if the cold cuts don't snap, crackle, and pop! Another hot day in the Kansai... when is it gonna snow?!? Stitchawl |

Morning. Getting ready for a set of blood tests tomorrow, so have spent the week eating a low cholesterol diet as per a previous Stitchawl post to see if I can positively affect my results.
Water in my cup and cherries in my breakfast bowl. |

So I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Having followed the Drs orders, every thing is healing well and I can finally go back to the gym. Yes!! I want to use the breast feeding to help get me down ten pounds. I know I can't diet but returning to a regular exercise routine after four months off should help me lose the weight. And I can work on getting rid of the now flabby abs.

@ProfCrash: Well done!
Finished off my morning Anniversary Breakfast Blend. Still loving it, and on to my second tin, so that's a good sign. Trying a new (to me) Second Flush Darjeeling -- Pussimbing Estate from Capital Tea in Toronto. This is an organic Darjeeling with a good, full-bodied flavour, but maybe a bit weak in the nose. Overall, a good buy and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. |

Finished one mug of milk oolong. The resteep is over steeping as I type. Lucas has decided that sleeping on Mom is good, sleeping in crib is bad. This is why I bought an iPad....

![]() I'm begging of you, please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him just because you can Your beauty is beyond compare With flaming locks of auburn hair With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green Your smile is like a breath of spring Your voice is soft like summer rain And I cannot compete with you, Jolene ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa10T...eature=related ) I guess all this talk of feeding Lucas must have made me dream of Dolly Parton? Good morning, everyone! We actually have the doors and windows open this morning! It's not cool, but it ain't burning hot yet! I'll take what I can get! I have a cup of Ahmad's "English Breakfast" tea in front of me, second one of the morning, and am getting ready to dig into a plate of onigiri filled with fresh tuna salad. Something new for a change. Usually this would be a good road-side lunch. Stitchawl |

Hehehe the little guy has decided that Mom/Dad = crib. He falls asleep on us and sometimes struggles to stay asleep when we put him in his crib.
Milk with dinner. First day back at kick boxing. I am so out of shape but it is good to start getting back in shape. |

If he currently only falls asleep on one of you, he'll not learn to go to sleep except on one of you. This can get exhausting, and also means that he won't go back to sleep after waking briefly in his cot. Try to get him to fall asleep in the place you want him to sleep.[OFF] Coke Zero #2 in my cup. |

We will, at the right time. Six weeks is too early for that. The one thing that the books agree on is that kids this young do not understand the world enough to soothe themselves yet. If parents want to get any sleep they have to teach the child when it is time to sleep and how to calm down. As soon as I see yawning or other signs that Lucas is tired we go to a quiet place, normally his room, I swaddle him, tell him he is tired, and soothe him. It akes about 30 minutes for him to fall asleep. Right now the focus is helping him connect the feeling of tired with the notion of sleep.
In a few months we work on self soothing. |

And there is no such thing as gratuitous advice. I appreciate hearing what folks suggest. I might not use it but I appreciate that people care enough to want to help.
Normally, he goes from human to crib pretty well. We have our days when that is not the case. Yesterday morning I would get him to sleep and put him in his crib no problem. Yesterday afternoon he wanted to be close to mom. |
