Good morning, all. It's a peaceful Sunday summer morning that I'll start with a cup of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea, pita with hummus and babaganoush, and a few Kalamata olives while watching the breeze blow the lemongrass leaves on the verandah. Had a lovely ride yesterday so we'll probably stay around the 'hood' today and just relax. Still hot out... I'm ready for Fall...

Another hot sticky summer day. Tall glass full of Pepsi One & ice cubes. Debating on when to mow the lawn. Dabbing more Calomine lotion on spider bites I got last night sitting on the back steps after taking a walk. Guess the spiders were thirsty too.

Skim milk with breakfast. Lucas had a bad night and is struggling with sleeping. Mom is contemplating beer at 11 am.

I can feel the spider bite pain. I have three gnat bites. The one on the leg developed a rash bad enough that I went to the Doctor.

Good morning, everyone! It's the start of another week, the second one of August. (This happens every year, by the way.) I have a cup of East India Company's "Assam" tea to wake me up, and a couple of Vietnamese Spring Rolls to perk up my pallet.

I never tire of this movie! In 2002 we were motorcycle touring in Switzerland, and I decided that "I" needed to climb the North face of the Eiger myself. So with my wife as witness, I, Stitchawl, did climb almost 2 meters up the face of that mountain. I felt no compulsion to try for the summit 3,968 meters further up. After all, it's the journey not the destination, right?

I commiserate with your pain! I have a severe allergy to spider bites, and they blow up like plums on me. Hurt like hell! I guess I'm lucky that they don't affect my breathing. I know that spiders eat other bugs, but as far as I'm concerned, the only good spider is a dead spider. Besides... they're ugly...

I think I need more tea...

Pink fizz tonight (Campari, club soda, and crushed ice in a tall glass). No spiders! I have huge red welts on my arm but no pain - guess it was an extra potent bite last night. Calomine is a wonder drug!
