Looking for cheap(er) t1 in UK?
A seller on ebay is flogging new, wrapped T1's for £85 (but £20 post, so not as good as it looks, but still a saving).
Accepts returns, apparently, so looks OK, but it is ebay......... Anyway, this is the first significant drop I've seen - we in UK never seem to get the great clearance or refurb's prices the States do. Grrrrr..... [Interestingly, Dixons & Comet list it as "None Available"....] |

I got my via ebay - 90-odd quid with free postage - was a Sony refurb, so no proper box but all else was there. Proper high street retailer based in Wales I think. Its perfect - no marks, as new.
I got my PRS350 last year on ebay - private seller, 65 quid in as new condition, boxed etc. Still works fine - I gave it to my wife. T1 not commonly available so doesn't seem to feature "on sale" in the high street. Especially not compared to the USA. |

I've bought T1s and 650s on Ebay. They're perfect and I saved a lot. Obviously you have to use your savvy when using Ebay.

![]() Not just by the price - which seems expensive to me for a refurbished device - but the most amazing thing is the 600 pre-loaded books. Have you noticed that it contains a huge number of copyrighted titles - the complete Harry Potter series for one. Surely they are not saying they have bought a copy of all of these for EVERY reader they sell? If not then they are guilty of copyright theft on a huge scale. It's obvious that they haven't because the cost of doing so would far out way the selling price of the reader. Perhaps I should contact them and ask for one free but without the 'paid for' books loaded. ![]() ![]() |

Are PRS-T1's still available? Rumors in The Netherlands are Sony pulled all the T1's off the market in wake of the to be launched PRS-T2's. Regardless whether this rumor is correct or not, fact is T1's are not available anywhere anymore. There are still websites having them on their sites, but upon ordering the orders get terminated.
It even looks as if they got pulled from the market by surprise; the other day electronics firm Saturn (big electronics warehouse and also well known in Germany) send out a paper add in Rotterdam promoting PRS-T1's in 3 colors; but it turns out they cannot deliver any of these anymore. I don't know the situation in other countries, but it looks like eBay and the like are the only options left to get hold of a T1, at least if you live in the Netherlands. If you want a new reader, you will have to wait for the T2. |

It's still available in retail outlets in the UK, including Argos.
