I prefer not to draw attention in case they try and block us.

Latest update is attached to an earlier posting for testing.

In addition to multiple authors per story, it now includes new sites finestories.com, www.hpfanficarchive.com, svufiction.com, www.twilightarchives.com and www.wizardtales.net.

I'd really like to hear back from some testers before pushing these changes out to everyone.

Jim,

I have a feature request. There is a plugin called Page Count. Could you put an option into FFDL, to call the PC plugin after FFDL finished importing or updating stories? Currently I have to manually rerun PC after every book update.

Actually, kiwidude has already added an API to 'Count Pages'. So that's very doable.

@Jimm - if you intend to make use of the API make sure you use the version from the beta, not the officially released version because I have had to change it with all the extra statistics it now can calculate. The new official release of Count Pages should be out later today (but the API part won't differ from that 1.6.0 beta if you want something to test against in the meantime).

I do not know if it is just my native ability to not understand things computer, or if it actually does not work, but every time I try to add a story on finestories.com I get an error message telling me that there is nothing there. The thing is I used the tools in the plugin to get the story url. I hope that this makes sense to the people who actually understand how this all works. If you need more information, please ask and I will try to get it.

Error message:
Bad Story URL: (http://finestories.com/s/storyInfo.php?id=10583) for site: (finestories.com) Example: (http://finestories.com/s/10537 http://finestories.com/s/10537:4010)

I didn't think that the story info pages would be used for urls, so the links need to be the story page, for that particular one - http://finestories.com/s/10583

I suppose it shouldn't be hard to make it accept those sort of links, either.

My apologies, I did not explain very well. I put "http://finestories.com/s/10583" into the "Add New from URL" box and the error message in my previous is what is returned to me.

Hmm... Fair enough. This is just another case of Calibre and CLI processing things just a tad differently sometimes. Next update should have a fix for it.
