All I can offer is stick with it! We love our Kobos and now I've downgraded back to .17 I'm back operational. Its unfortunate for people who've just purchased one, and this is their first experience for sure. You could just factory reset yours and skip the setup? Its an option on the screen where it says connect to a PC. This is fine if you're sideloading books via Calibre or similar and don't need to use the Kobo store. |

I seem to be stuck on .17.. It appeared to download the software the last 2 times I synced and asked if I wanted to restart to install the firmware. I clicked on 'install' waited out the restart of my KT and it looks identical to what it was before the sync (ok, maybe some of the recommended books changed). Maybe it's not really downloading the update since I'm in Japan right now? I'll just try again when I return to Hawaii at the end of the month. Anyone else having this problem?

Frozen at 17%. In two days I've done two factory resets, one reset with paperclip in that little hole in the back, numerous semi-resets by holding the power slide twice for a few moments til a blue light appears. That seems to get back to normal...if normal is not being able to load any more books. Here goes again.
I've spent at least 10 hours fiddling with my brick, 1 hour reading a good old reliable paperback book. Was 2.0 really beta-tested? ![]() |

Far more annoying, though, is the bug that's been in the Touch firmware since the 'Mark as Finished' option was added: that button doesn't change the reading stats. It marks it as finished in the library view, but reading stats doesn't pick up on that. Given that I keep having to either do factory resets or sign-out-sign-ins on the Touch every third firmware release, and it loses all that information every time, fixing that would be really appreciated. |

Has Kobo pulled the 2.0.0 release?
After a day and a half, I finally managed to get my Touch to Factory Reset. Back to v1.9.11. So, I hooked it up to the Kobo Desktop (3.0, the one just released), and it downloaded the 1.9.17 firmware and updated the Touch to the 1.9.17 firmware. And, another nice bonus is that the 1.9.17 firmware displays an "updating" screen, so you know what it is doing. |

My upgrade of v2 is causing problems.
Whenever my Kobo goes to sleep and I re-open the last book I was on - its always 1 page back from where I actually was. Even worse though is that the 4 books that show when you turn it on seem to be doing some merry dance so the book I am reading is NOT showing up as the main big square and they are all randomly switching. |

Even though I appear to be a 'lucky one' (the upgrade didn't cause me too much grief, I only needed to sign out of kobo and reconnect), I'm not totally happy with the update.
My main (and only) beef is with slow page turning: it now takes about 4-6 seconds for a tap to register and turn a page, whereas it used to be about 1 second. This is long enough to start doubting that the tap registered at all, and be tempted to try again. And it sure as hell breaks my reading flow. Does everyone experience this slowness? (I only read side loaded epubs at the moment) |

Having opened up the 2.0.0 firmware package, the following fonts are included:
There may be some more hidden away, but I can't find them. |
