Four hours going over the new house with builders today. More snags that I'd hoped for. Hopefully they'll get sorted quickly. Next inspection on Monday.

Good morning, all! Happy 12th!!! Some extra smokey Lapsang Souchong tea from McNultey's Tea&Coffee to toast a rainy morning. French Toast from English Muffins, and Austrian smoked thick-sliced bacon to start the day, then... then... Ya know... I really don't know what I'll do today! It's a mystery.... hmmmmm...... I guess I'll just have to pay more attention to 'right now!'

Increasing the amount of formula we are giving the little guy. He is still getting breast milk every feeding but it is not enough for him. He is so amazing. He has started to learn how to control his arms. He seems to like tummy time. He makes the cutest cooing noises while sleeping. Just a little miracle.

I am working on learning to do nothing while my parents are here. It is hard to do nothing. Mainly because I am not used to it but also because I feel a little guilty with having my 70 year old parents do my laundry, the dishes, and all those household things. I know that I need the help but it feels a bit weird sometimes.

Don't worry, they love to do it, as a grandmother I know these things. Good to hear things are going so well, as he's such a big baby he may well sleep through the night fairly early on.

As long as you promise not to reveal the secret, we mostly....TALK, and laugh, eat and drink. Sometimes we even sew, I managed to get in a few handstitches this time. As we are an online group it's the only chance we get to see each other for a year.

That would be nice. Right now he is on a three hour schedule at night. His choice, we are not waking him up in the middle of the night. There are times that I consider skipping breast feeing during the night. That extra 30 minutes of sleep sounds like a great idea.

All sounds good, ProfCrash. With our first we were in a new country with no real friends, our nearest relative was 7,000 miles away, I had a full-time job and my wife was diagnosed with early onset Osteoporosis after the birth, after she found she couldn't move one day (she was only 23!). And the baby never slept through the night once... Nice to hear it's not always that bad

Totally falling behind, here. I have hardly been logging in at all -- this vacation thing is positively wonderful.

Three new teas from TeaSpring came in yesterday, but I've only had a chance to taste one: Song Zong Dan Chong, a wonderful Oolong from the Guangdong province. In the middle to slightly on the green side, with a wonderful nose even before steeping, and an almost sweet taste.
