Thumbnail view is great if you are not sure what you want, for "window shopping" if you already know what you want the current search can't be beat.

Sorry to bump this thread, but can I just quickly +1 this idea? I don't know if there are any plugins that'd show this sort of view, but I think it'd be very nice to be able to see at a glance all of the books you have

Use the cover browser (that bent arrow icon in the lower right). Right click on the chosen cover for options of what to do

Yup, I happened across the cover browser and it is good, but not ideal if you have lots of books

Got a widescreen? Change the preference to show more books (IIRC the number should be set to the count from the middle to the right edge). Also, set it to be detached.
