Tea in my cup and blueberry muffins on my plate.

The wind has been gusting so much that I had to tie the patio umbrellas to the side of the house as the wind even knocks them over when they are in the heavy iron stands. I just know the weather will figure out what season it is suppose to be pretty soon. Yesterday was so hot I had the air conditioner on and today I am wrapped in a blanket. Geesh.

Will be getting up and heading to the funeral in the morning. Expect lots of coffee in the old cup. He was strong and independent all the way to the end. Left behind no debt, and a paid off house and car. I can only hope to match his example some day....

Good morning, all! Another Friday that begins with Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea! Didja ever stop and wonder what ever happened to good music? As a musician, I can't even jam to most of the stuff that's on the radio today! It's like it's being beamed in from another dimension... Maybe I'm just getting old, but you'd think that at least the guitar chords would be the same... I'm not sure which is worse; Rap or Heavy Metal? Techno? Couldn't we try using melody again? Just for a change?

Strong coffee, hoping to wake up at last. The temps have now reached 34Celsius (93 Fahrenheit) during the day, 28 at night and we are expecting the high of the heatwave to reach us mid next week with over 40 degrees, with a max of 44 (111) by Wednesday.

Although we have the aircon on full blast, I still find it really hard to sleep, and am waking up groggy.

After my exercise I have to find a batteldress. We have the school end of year show and fair today, in the park. Nice, but with the heat it is very difficult to be comfy and look decent at the same time. The kids will still go to school on Monday to pick up their stuff, but afterwards I am keeping them home, it is just too hot. Our school officially finishes next friday but the last official day of school in Spain was yesterday, all tests and exams are finished and the results have been distributed. Needless to say many kids are already gone...

After that, we are on for 9 weeks of summer holidays !
