Well ... it's currently pouring rain .... like a monsoon ... I drove home in rain so heavy I couldn't see the hood of my car, let alone past it. It was a wild hydroplaning ride over roads I could no longer see. Accompanied by idiots who refused to put their lights on. Did get in an after dinner stroll .... started off with sprinkles, ended with steady rain .... now the skies have opened again .... I think this is the system that put large sections of Florida underwater .... |

It does work. I have a pair of glasses with yellow lenses, like glasses used in target shooting, that also really help. Great with headlights too - cuts the glare.

Well, last night was warm & extremely humid. Around midnight the heavens opened and released a deluge upon the house. Goldie cat & I were sound asleep. She shot up out of the bed & vanished - the noise of the rain pounding on the roof was that loud. Hot & humid today. Then a cold front arrives to bring us a promised glorious weekend with temps in the low 80's F & low humidity. |

Hot and humid - currently 31 C with a humidex of 38 C with more of the same for tomorrow. Air conditioning is a wonderful thing. Last edited by red_phoenix; 06-20-2012 at 03:19 PM. Reason: Corrected current temperature |

We have an opt-in Politics and Religion forum here at MobileRead where you can be politically incorrect to your heart's content. If you're interested, review the first post of this thread. We work to keep the rest of MobileRead free of such comments because we've had a number of members make it known that they have no interest in seeing politics and religion bleed over into other areas of MobileRead. |

Right now it's 32 C with the humidex bringing it to 38 C. Our office air conditioning has been down for the last 2 days. Even though it was supposedly "fixed" over 2 hours ago, it's still 32 C in here according to the thermostat. Apparently it will "take a bit" for it to cool down. I'm melting into a puddle as I type.
