Series 'Report' Generation?

Ok, I've been running into hurdle after hurdle... my basic problem is that I'm trying to deal with 'series' across various devices. I've gotten plugboards to work, but that breaks 'on device' for me, and it also looks bad on some devices (that have limited screen real estate for title).

SO....

I've decided all I want to do for series is generate a report of all series in my library, save it as a file in my library, and upload said file to my devices. That way, if I'm reading a series, I can just open that file, check for the title of the next book, and be done with it. No plugboards, no extra-long titles, just... exactly what I need.

So my question is this - is there an easy way to generate this report? It doesn't need to be fancy, just something like

The Trilogy -
[1] First Book
[2] Second Book
[3] Third Book

John Doe Detective
[1] Doe's Derring Do
[2] Doe Done It

etc...

IIRC you used to be able to create a CSV Catalog of only Selected books.
This has not worked for some time (on XP).

SO

Use the CLI (use the filter : series:true or any valid search bar term) http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cli/calibredb.html

Just curious, what devices are you using? For my Sony devices I include the Series info in the author line and leave the title alone (see attached).

Create a catalog using the dropdown arrow to the right of the conversion icon (see attached).

awesome. dwanthny's solution worked perfectly. generated a series listing directly into my library in my preferred format, can't ask for more than that.

Actually, it does seem to work on Windows 7... in fact, you can generate it directly into mobi or epub, etc.

Ah, I really like the idea of using the Author line... might consider that for the devices it'll work for.
To answer your question, I have a couple devices in use -- I mainly use the Kindle app on the Ipad, which has plenty of room for titles/authors. I also have a Kindle Touch in the family, though it's traveling so I can't picture the interface offhand. The real problem display space wise is our Kindle (w/ keyboard) -- it chops off long author names and long title names -- adding series info to either is brutal, sometimes I lose the entire title.

It creates a Catalog (Epub, Mobi or CSV), just not OF the 'Selected' records... it always does 'The whole Shebang' (4K books)

I haven't tried it but simply restricting the library to the "selected" should work to limit the Catalog.

Works for me. IIRC the restriction only applies if you have selected atleast 5 books or something like that.

I definitely selected more than 5 books. (I was making a 90 day catalog of Adds/Edits/Updated metadata: Modified:>= 90daysago)

I just peeked under the skirts... It did work .
It is 8M vs 46M for the full Library
