Trying to decide if I like the energy saving lamp I use for drawing. I first wanted to get one that was 4000 kelvin but we could only order those by packages of 10 so I got one that we already had in stock and is 6500 kelvin, which is very very white.

I just read that doctors are saying that you lose 9 minutes of your life for every slice of bacon that you eat.

I did the math... I should have died in 1786.

Currently I am browsing the Amazon Kindle store for some good books. I am a non prime member, and I wa wondering if I could download some Kindle books for free, if those are enrolled in KDP Select and have a free offer, even though I don't have a Prime membership. Could anyone tell me?

Was woken about 4am by a thunderstorm. Am currently hiding out in the basement with the dog. They seem to have passed (at least for now). Got some pretty heavy downpours.

I doubt it was anything like you could/did face today, Stitchawl. Stay safe.

Nice to see you're trying to be eco-friendly anyway. I always buy energy saving bulbs for the house with the exception of the ceiling fan lights in the family and living rooms (the wife thinks they're ugly, although we do have them in the bedroom ceiling fan) and my reading light. That one's a 75 watt incandescent. I need lots of light for reading!

Almost 8pm now, and just light rain... Not even enough to call a storm. Some wind blew through while we were eating dinner, but Felicity is still sitting in her tree looking out the window. Usually if there is a storm she buries herself in the back of the closet and doesn't come out until it's all over.

One the other hand... I just noticed that the barometer on my wall is a LOT lower now than it was two hours ago...
