Switch the 2 and the 7 around. Put the Five in the middle. Move the 4 out one and place the 9 where the 4 was.

![]() Ok, quote time. Who said it (2 pt), to who (2 pt), in what movie (1 pt), from what year exactly (2 pt), and answer the riddle completely (5pts). 1. "In my mind's eye, I see, three circles joined in priceless, graceful harmony. Two full as the moon, one hollow as a crown. Two from the sea, five fathoms down. One from the earth, deep under the ground. The whole, a mark of high renown. Tell me, what can it be?" 2. "What is a bell that does not ring, yet its knell makes the angels sing?" 3. "Which weighs more: all the trains that pass through Grand Central Station in a year - or the trees cut down to print all U.S. currency in circulation? Here's a hint. It's a trick question." Ok, have fun! |

3 must be the trains. Assuming the US uses plastic (or non-paper) for cash like Ozzies???
Or the cash because NO trains pass through Grand Central??? Last edited by SneakySnake; 06-11-2012 at 09:48 PM. Reason: for clarity |

Neither. Both weigh nothing. No trains pass through Grand Central Station - they come in and then go out the same way. No trees are cut down for US Currency - wood pulp isn't used in the paper for US Currency. They are made from cotton or linen. Given the amount of cotton grown in the US, let's plump for cotton.

Yes, the answers too...they were answered in the movies. And the very dapper mouse (pdurrant) came close enough to the actual dialog in the script to earn the 5 pts for the riddle. They weigh the same...nothing.

OK, as a native New Yorker I have to comment. There's a Grand Central Station underneath Grand Central Terminal. Metro North trains originate and terminate in GCT, 'tis true, but the 4, 5, 6, and 7 trains on the IRT subway line do indeed pass through Grand Central Station.
