The default.ini configuration already leaves out word count out of the title page for www.squidge.org/peja stories. I assume you're seeing it in a custom column.

I suppose I could also consult the titlepage_entries entry for sites and use that suppress custom column updates. Or just stop collecting word count from www.squidge.org/peja entirely...

I can't drag and drop from Internet explorer to anything (Word, Excel, etc), not just FFDL. Maybe the problem is something with the IE. I use excel as a spot to place the links I want to download before I copy them over to FFDL. I'm usually trying to do something with calibre so I don't want to copy and paste directly to FFDL.

Interesting. I clicked on the link in the supported sites section (http://www.squidge.org/peja/). I then clicked on the on the Enter and Enjoy link to get to the stories (http://www.squidge.org/~peja/cgi-bin/index.php). Actually all the links seem to have /~peja/.

I do have FFDL set up to get the word count and put it into a custom column. I just thought that I would note the discrepancy. It is just as easy for me to use the word count plugin once I've downloaded the story.

Can't help you there--mine works fine and it's clearly a windows/IE problem.

If nobody's clamoring, I'm not going to do anything about it.

Have you tried reporting the problem to the peja site admins? Clearly, the best case would be for them to just fix it.

Thank you very much for this plugin, which I find extremely useful, most with archiveofourown.org . One thing I've noticed recently is that if a story is anonymous, then the download doesn't work - instead you get an error message " 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable".

Is there anything that can be done about this, or will I just need to download those stories manually?

Interesting. None of the other supported sites allow anonymous stories. Rather than re-engineer it to allow authorless stories, I'm just going to fake it a bit right now.

Try the attached version and make sure it works for you.

Fix for AO3 'anonymous' stories.
Fix for ashwinder.sycophanthex.com.
Allow www.squidge.org/~peja as well as www.squidge.org/peja.

As usual, there may be a delay before calibre notices the new version. You can get the latest by going in and telling calibre to install it again.

Thank you very much for fixing it so quickly. I'm sorry I couldn't check it for you - wrong time zone and then I was at work.

(The anonymous stories are mostly for exchanges like Yuletide, where stories are posted anonymously first, and then revealed later.)

I'm the webmistress of National Library. I'd be totally cool with this site being available through FFD. I wanted to also point out that if you decide to add National Library, you should be able to add MTAC (NCIS fic) http://ncisfic.com really easily as it uses the exact same code.

I attempted to do an adapter for National Library prior, though, I decided to leave it till later. But since you are here, would it be possible for you to include an actual link to the author's page and/or numerical things such as word count and the date in the header of a story? Because that was the biggest thing stopping me so far.

Ugh, I take it back. Gave it my best shot, but even looking at that website makes me want to wash myself with soap. If anyone else would like to give it a try they are quite welcome to.
