Today is an all Keemun day, I think. I've finished the worst of the hardware rebuilds, at least until the new SSD hard drives get here. So today we get to rebuild the software, installing Win8 on the main laptop and a Server 8 version of Windows MultiPoint Server on our production WMS box. Starting with fresh squeezed OJ, and a cup of Lion Mountain Keemun. |

A cappuccino from up the road with some date and walnut loaf. Watching the footie and for once my boys are in the lead but it's only half time so anything can happen.

To much to do! It's Saturday so my wife is home, and we can do this stuff together....Going through clothing that is too old, doesn't fit, or just not needed in Thailand's climate... Going through drawers throwing out odds and ends that I've picked up because 'I might be able to use this one day...' but don't want to pay the shipping costs to send to Thailand... Studying language tapes... studying maps to remind me where everything is in town... meditating because all of this is making me nuts... playing guitar because the meditations gave me ideas for sounds I wanted to try to re-create... and then crashing for a nap!
NOW it's time for some Bombay Sapphire! Stitchawl |

How long are you going to Thailnd for?
Breakfast so OJ and skim milk. The hubby is gone for the weekend. He is not happy that I am home alone but I don't want to be 2-4 hours away from my hospital and doctors and paying to kennel the dogs is silly. So he is off to play his tennis playoffs. I am already thinking through how I m reorging the kitchen to make more counter and shelf space. I am doing a tea clean out as well. Clean empty tins and figure out what I want to keep and what can go. Then nap. |

Ok so Hubby's shelves full of Asian ingredients just collapsed. No damage done but I am off to home Depot to get better shelf supports. I did discover that he has 10 bags of various dehydrated hot peppers. This includes dehydrated bhut jolakia, devil's tongue, one gallon bag of Thai super hot, and other varieties that are at the same potency. So figure ten bags of dehydrated hot peppers ranging from 150,000 scovilles to 1,000,000 scovilles. The scary thing is that we grew more then half of them last summer.
Not to mention three types of rice powder, rice flour, and a bunch of other bags that I cannot reach. Oh and 6 different types of noodles. I have got to get him back cooking and playing less tennis.... |

Ah, a perfect day in Paradise here. Sun is out, the sky is clear, and all is well. Well, almost all. I finally got my corporate laptop rebuilt, but it was a real mess and I now have tonnes of reinstalling and reconfiguring to do before it's actually useful. Yech. I think I'd much rather be running to Rona (our equivalent to Home Depot) to get shelf supports and rebuilding shelving. Sounds like a lot more fun. But I'm not going to even THINK about it today. Today it's off to the Sechelt Farmer's Market with the top down and a good book to listen to while I drive. Then some serious goofing off this afternoon, reading and relaxing in the sun.
Starting out with fresh squeezed orange juice. The start of the Valencia season is upon us, and I'm getting good California Valencias right now. Still a bit pricey, but they should come down shortly. Valencias make lousy eating oranges, because of the seeds, but great juice oranges. Next up, I'm going to have a mug of Peet's Major Dickasons. I've been staying away from too much coffee, since it cut into the amount of tea I could drink before exceeding my overall caffeine limit, but today will be more about cool liquids anyway in the afternoon, so a splurge. |

It is 90 and humid here. I am staying inside as much as possible. I hit home depot soon. I got my teas down to two shelves full but have 11 empty tins. I'll have more as my Rooiboses run out. I'llrefill a few Rooiboses but not many. I need to wait to close to the end of maternity leave to see where I am sitting at work. If I move to a new desk, I might not have enough room for as much tea at work.
