Another way of describing it. If I look at the letter O, P or Q for example, around the edges of the letters when looking very close, the edges don't look completely smooth and almost look rough.

Like, ummmm, pixilated? Normal on a low res screen, if that is the issue. I guess I am having a hard time understanding why this would be an issue if you are talking about a distance that is *not* what you would ever read at--or is it just an interesting thing to you, even if it has no affect on your reading enjoyment.

Yeah I guess pixelated would be the word. It's just sometimes I tend to notice it aswell at the normal reading distance.

Small things like this bug the crap out of me, I'm very OCD.

Reread your first post. This statement seems different. that being said, there are things that bug the crap out of me for no good reasons, and I am bipolar with not a hint of OCD.

When I'm in a much brighter room, it is more noticeable at normal reading distance but then again it's something someone else probably wouldn't notice.

Your fixating on details that shouldn't matter for just reading. Stop this, just read, paying more attention to characters and plot. Soon pixelation shouldn't matter to you ether.

Yeah I need to take this advice, I don't know if this is pixelation to but on the curve of some letters, on the very edge the letters don't seem fully black in colour and sometimes fade. Hard to explain but probably normal.

Some words also sometimes look bolder than others.
Oh well time to try and ignore small things like this!

Is anyone else having issues where sometimes when you touch the screen, it doesn't always recognise a page turn?

Can anyone else understand what I mean in regards to seeing pixelation of the text though? I'm wondering if with it not being perfectly clear if it's likely to strain the eyes more.

That is the effect of not doing a full flash-to-black refresh on every page. When you see it, try tapping the middle of the page to bring up the reading menu, then tap again to close it and do a page refresh. The text should be cleaned up.

If it bothers you, set the refresh to every page.

Even with the refresh on every page I still notice the hazy text

I think this is just pixelation because I see the same affect when looking close to my TV.
