Ah, good - more LOL Catz. I've been quitely lurking here. Been busy on a new REALLY GRAND secret project. Any day now - real soon - standby. On this one, I have the permission and assistance of the keeper of the content. I've also been experimenting with better ways to organize and style the book and make it look totally awesome.

OK - the new one is done. Check out uploads of this date. It took a lot LOT longer than I had planned. But once I got started and comitted to do it - I just couldn't stop. Now I am way behind on both sleep and real work. My "accountant" is annoyed that I have been doing all this FREE work instead of FEE work! So I need to lay low for a while. Over but not out.

"On War, by Clausewitz, is probably the most important document in existence on Military strategy and tactics."

What!?!? And you posted that here at MR??? Great, now every Tom, Dick, and Squirrel from The Lounge is going to be able to use the new Zelda-inspired Death Ray gizzies to take down this place. Hey, now wait a minute. There's an idea......

Ah, but did you actually LOOK at the actual eBook? It is a thing of beauty and awe. Just feasting your eyes on it will melt you into a puddle of putty-like goo.

That would be Ms Armadillo and we fear that Ricky does not have a life outside of MR. Which is okay, since she fits right in.

Pshrynk is essentially correct on all counts. I believe my very first post here was on 6/6/08 ... so I've been a member now .... 32 days?? Looks like I'm averaging about 30 posts a day .... my heavens!!

Well, hey ... I work at a desk in front of four monitors ... sometimes as many as six. My web browser is up all day long sending me all sorts of feeds while I slave away on my work. If I see something about which I just have to make a comment (which is a LOT of stuff .... I'm very opinionated), then ... there ya go, one more post.

Of course, some of those posts have been ever so short ... but then I make up for the short ones by rambling on to infinity and beyond about something else.

I am a proud member of Karma Whores Local 1138 .....

What do you do? Are you a NASA launch controller or a 911 operator? Or, maybe an FAA Weather Briefer?

BOb - Feeling inadequate with his two monitors. (Three if I turn on the laptop.)

Oh, those do sound like interesting jobs .... but, no. I have floated through a number of occupations over my (very long) life. For a number of years I worked in different capacities in hospitals (through college, graduate work and then post grad). I spent some time doing search and rescue work n the Sierra Nevada mountains. Then, in 1984 I decided to go to law school. For those four years, I did reagent research and development for American Red Cross. Then, I became an attorney.

That's what I'm doing at present ... and that's why all the monitors. Most of my work involves serious number crunching, and it's simply easier for me to have my internet, documents, spreadsheets and book-keeping programs open where I can easily refer to all of them without constantly alt tabbing between windows.

Now, I'll admit, that part of the reason I'm heavy on the monitors is that I've been building computers for almost 25 years now as a hobby, and I like to make use of things until I can no longer repair them. My workshop (in the garage) looks a bit like an electronics store most of the time. Top it off with the fact that, for a few years, I was maintaining houses in both California and Texas ... so l had two sets of computers there ... each with two monitors. When I decided to sell the California place and consolidate everything ... I hooked all four up and decided I liked that much better. It's been four monitors ever since. Six is only when I decide to put the laptops into the mix .... although I could throw in my tablet and make it seven, I suppose. But then I'd probably get whiplash.

Ricky, if you look on your public profile under "Statistics", you'll see that you average 26 posts a day.

Gosh. You really like the sound of your keyboard, don't you?
