Same code here, when trying to update several fics from fanfiction.net from within Calibre.

The fics update without problem when using "Add New from URL(s)"

No problem updating from Twilighted or TWCS.

Release 1.5.27 worked fine with Fanfiction.net earlier today, but it looks like they have made more changes to the layout.

New Version 1.5.28 - 06 Jun 2012

Fix new/overwrite missing 'begin' KeyError. Plugin only.

As usual, there may be a delay before calibre notices the new version. You can get the latest by going in and telling calibre to install it again.

As a new user of both calibre and FFD, I would like to ask if it's possible to use it to download from http://www.adifferentforest.com/?

I usually download with FLAG.

Ida's been on a tear implementing new sites, so it's possible. In fact, I'm behind--he's implemented three I haven't integrated yet.

Today or tomorrow, hopefully.

@ChrisBradford -- On the mailing list/group another Linux user was able to clear a similar problem by deleting the story from calibre and downloading it again (rather than updating epub).

Have/Could you tried that?

When attempting to dnld new or update on fanfiction.net I am recieving a Nothing to download response with a message in the comment "argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable"

This is regardless of whether there in fact is something to download or not and seems to be restricted to the one site.

I'm using Linux if that makes a difference.

What an ugly website...
But, yeah, sure, sometime next week I'll look at it more closely. They don't provide much metadata, though, so the title page will be a tad skimpy.

I'm intersted in using this plugin, but I have several authors that have LOTS of stories. I am currently using a calibre recipie that utilizes a member's python script but I'd like to use a built in plug in. The recipie creates one epub (or other format) file with all stories by an author. Now this isn't a requirement for me but is there anyway to give an author's URL and have the plugin get all stories by that author? If not, do you have a recommendation on how to get all those URLs into the plugin without copying and pasting each unique one?

@riothamus - Batch downloading from an author's page or a page of links is a feature that's been discussed, but hasn't been implemented for a variety of reasons. I've put it on the list to consider again.

I personally don't know of any useful URL gathering tools off hand. Others might.
