Freuchen, Peter: Ice floes and flaming water. V1. 06 Jun 2012

Five whalers are stranded in Northern Greenland, and each has a strange adventure to tell to their rescuers, Peter Freuchen and his Inuit wife, Navarana.

Peter Freuchen was a Danish adventurer who spent much of his early adult life in Northern Greenland. Together with Knud Rasmussen he founded the trading post at Thule, now the site of a US airbase.
