Wow. The planners now give *zero* bucks/cycle; the architects give 15k.

I suppose I should sell off the planners & replace them with ansibles. I only had three of those, and half a dozen architects, because I'd noted that ansibles go up every level and the posthumans don't.

I have a new plan: take my junk gifts--200 bliss, 500 military, sometimes other things--and throw them at the inactive accounts, especially those requesting a particular type of resource. Fill them up so that people don't accidentally waste *good* gifts on someone who hasn't logged in for over a month.

(In other news, I over-pop'd myself; Elf the Sock could use food gifts before the next cycle turnover, if anyone's got any to spare. And energy, of course, but nobody has extra energy.)

I think there's also some kind of Fever/Plague whack which lowers your Pop as well.

(And then there's letting them starve which will reduce your Pop once sufficient famine due to insufficient Food sets in, according to the pop-up explanations on the stats.)

I took a Fever whack a while ago, but it was a minor hit. I haven't seen Crows in quite a while, and I don't think I've ever been hit with a Bloodsport whack -- not that I remember, anyway.

It's not a major problem. I'm just bothered that my colony's advanced technology can't seem to come up with decent birth control! It should be right up there with Thorium reactors!


EDIT: Speak of the devil! Just got a Bloodsport whack. Took it, but didn't lose too many colonists, curse the luck! (I'm a terrible leader!)

I was doing an OK job of keeping up with my energy and everything, but couldn't log on more than a couple times in the past four days. Wow, what a mess everything is now. This thing needs a vacation mode of some kind.
