Sony's newest reader due out in September 2012 is going to be a flexible, virtually unbreakable, color screen, and will be available in 5", 6" and 9" screens! And blue will be one of the choices available for the US market.

How's that one?

Have there been any firmware upgrades recently - or are there any planned in the near future? I never connect to the official Reader software for anything.

AFAIK, there have only been two firmware updates for the T1. The last one was Feb 28.

You can find the latest firmware downloads on the support pages on the Sony website. I doubt there are any firmware changes coming soon. The T1 is disappearing from stores.

I have a T1 on on order now. I hope it arrives next week. I just joined this forum but I have been lurking awhile now. I was aware of the gossip about Sony readers.

Yesterday I called Sony for information on how to use my old prs-300 along with the new prs-T1. I am not sure he helped much, but I did a little fishing by mentioning that "I had heard that maybe Sony was not going to make any more Readers.

It didn't work, I was unable to fish any sort of reply or even a grunt out of him. I tried while I was on the phone. Darn!
