P.S. ?

Browsing books at Amazon, I see a some with "P.S." in the title.

What does the P.S. mean? Does it mean there is additional stuff in the particular book?

Here is an example:

Thanks.

Here you go...

Quote:
New York, NY (July 29, 2004) HarperCollins announced today that its Perennial imprint is launching a new trade paperback program called P.S.. Titles in this program will contain an additional section at the back of the book with behind-the-pages insights, interviews and more. The extra content in this section will take these titles beyond traditional reprinting and offers readers added value with their paperback purchase.

I guess it is sort of like the extras on a DVD. The question is will this mean anything to readers? Are they really going to recognize that P.S., in this context means extra features?

You know the "book club guide" at the end of some paperbacks? That is what this is. Dumb questions about the story, and an interview with the author. Not a lot of value-add, IMO. It's just another's publisher's imprint.

Not to mention I always find these disorienting in an ebook. I expect I have another 30 pages or so to read, and then the story ends!
