How did you make your green tea? Most people make it using water that is too warm and steep it for too long. Most of my Green's are made using water between 175 and 195 F and steep for about a minute. If you use water that is too hot or steep for too long you end up with bitter tasting tea.

It is really weird forcing myself to eat. I am hungry at breakfast but then full the rest of the day. I decided that this week I am going to cut out non-fruit based snacks. I am not hungry so why have the goldfish, and stick to making myself eat lunch, dinner, and some fruit. With the occassional bowl of ice cream because it temporarily helps the heart burn.

Drinking Rooibos Capetown at the moment. That goes nocely with the OJ, Skim, Milk and V8 Infusion beverage I had with lunch.

5 more weeks... Maybe. (winks)

I do steep it for a while, but the water comes from a near boiling kettle. Maybe that's where I'm going wrong.

Yup. Let the water sit for about 5 minutes before you steep. That should cool it down to around 195. Steep for 1 minute. If you give the exact type of green you are making we can help you with better times and water temperatures.

Tums are working well and they make sure that I am getting more then enough calcium. As long as I am sitting up/standing up I am fine. It is as soon as I lie down to go to sleep. I am using three pillows already. (shrugs) It is a part of the fun.

This makes a huge difference. Japanese greens are happy at 170-175 F, but most China greens do well up to ~195, but both get bitter and grassy if you steep at the more typical boiling temperatures.

May I recommend ginger? While primarily a palliative for nausea, it also seems to help the heartburn for some folks.
