Legends II: New Short Novels by the Masters of Modern Fantasy, edited by Robert Silverberg. It's available in the Kindle store for 5.68 $. The whole thing looks good, I am sure I will enjoy most of the other stories, too, but for me it was worth the price for the Dunk & Egg story alone. The third one was harder to find. It was published in the anthology Warriors, edited by George R. R. Martin and Gardner Dozois. Unfortunately, Amazon (both US and DE) only carry the hardcover. If you like audiobooks, there also is an Audible edition available. I finally found the ebook in the Kobo store, but it's rather pricey. I used my "welcome" coupon to buy it with 20 % off. Still, it's a huge book and most of the stories look interesting, so I don't regret it. Hope that helps. I am afraid I am like you: I have a huge direwolf shaped hole in my TBR pile since I finished A Dance With Dragons. ![]() |

Legends: Stories By The Masters of Modern Fantasy - $9.99 Dreamsongs: Volume II - $14.99 Legends II: New Short Novels by the Masters of Modern Fantasy - $7.99 Warriors - $14.99 Warriors is still a bit pricey, but I can vouch for the fact that it contains several great stories aside from the Dunk 'n Egg novella. Also, I believe these stories are going to get their very own binding at some point after the fourth novella is published. Last edited by DiapDealer; 05-18-2012 at 12:10 PM. |

Just finished Michael Flynn's The January Dancer. Some interdesting characters, but a bitr slow and not a great ending. I read his novella "The Forest of Time" and enjoyed it more
I will take a break from Mr. Flynn, but he is a good writer and I will go back . I'm looking to get (highly recommended) "Wreck of the River of Stars". |

Then at least Legends I and Warriors are geo-restricted in the Kindle store because I cannot see them from Europe. Do you know when the fourth novella will come out? But no, I guess you don't, because this is George R. R. Martin.

![]() It also seems that I may have misspoke. The first novella is part of the "Dreamsongs: Volume II" anthology (which is still available as a Kindle book in the US). |

A quick run through of 1634-The Baltic War to refresh my memory, then I'm reading Ring of Fire II (85%) and I'll follow that with 1635-The Eastern Front and (maybe, depending on how I'm feeling) then 1635-The Dreeson Incident.
Then I'll take a short break to something light and silly, probably a Georgette Heyer or two, and then come back to read 1636:The Saxon Uprising and 1636:The Kremlin Games. |

Just finished Angelology by Danielle Trussoni and it was excellent. Imagine if you put a Dan Brown and an Umberto Eco novel into a blender and hit the puree button; you'd pour out Angelology.

Finished Sauerkraut Station by Ferrett Steinmetz. Once I suspended my sense of disbelief concerning a space station where they do nothing but grow cabbages and make sauerkraut from them, it was a good read. It's the story of a girl who makes friends with a boy from "the other side" during war times.
You can download it as an epub file from Giganotosaurus: http://giganotosaurus.org/2011/11/01...kraut-station/ |

I am reading
The Boy Who Fell to Earth
by Kathy Lette's It is about a boy with Asperger's Syndrome and his Mum telling the Story. It has quiet a few funny lines in and not at all serious. My Grandson has this so I thought it worth the read. I am glad I purchased it now. Just thought I would recommend it to you, although you might have read it already. It is my first Kobo read.
