It's not wise, and I try to take a paperback instead, but sometimes I just want to read a book I've got going on the Kindle. Good books are terrible for self-control.

I have a speaker for my iPod Nano, and a waterproof case for it in case of splashes, and listen to audiobooks in the bath.

or I read paperbacks that I don't care if they get wet.

I just don't. It sounds like it could be a nice way to while away some time, but it just makes me too nervous, ziplock bag or no.

I never dared use any of my ereaders in the bath - I'm too clumsy. However since I got an Android phone I've been 'reading' my epubs with the free IVONA text-to-speech app via the external speaker during bathtime. It's surprisingly good, wonderful during a long soak. I do have to place the phone well out of reach, though, so I'm not tempted to pick it up.

As an added benefit I'm no longer using the excuse 'my eyes got caught on this book' to procrastinate an afternoon walk as I can take it with me, with the headphones on.

What a great idea! I had never really thought about listening to audiobooks in the bath. Don't know why! I do listen to audiobooks while I exercise.

I have a Trendy Digital waterproof case that I use for my Kindle Keyboard in the bath. It's also great for reading in the pool too. I've been using it for a year, and it's protected my Kindle just fine. I have also seen people recommend waterproof bags that are meant to protect maps & other papers like you would find at an outdoors or boating store.

It's called washing. You know, putting soap all over and then rinsing it off. That does take time to do it right.

I rarely bath, but when I do I just risk it and read the Kindle naked (don't go there...) and have never had a mishap yet (touches wood).
