Help please!

I have download Kindle for the PC and also Calibre. When I try to access the Kindle books through Calibre going to C/Programs/Amazon/content all I can see are the 3 books that came with the original download. Under C/Programs/Amazon/kindle exe. there all of the other books I have downloaded. Calibre cannot access this exe. file. Can someone please, please give me advice on what to do to access the books for Calibre?

you are looking at the Kindle for PC program location. Your Kindle books are not stored there - in windows 7 or in Vista they should be in C:users/yourname/My Documents/Kindle for PC.
use calibre add books function to add books from that location.

In XP I have checked a similar file path to "My Kindle" and it only shows the 3 books that came with the original download.

The count depends on which file I open. If I open the contents file there are 3 books. If I click on Kindle exe. I see 13 books.

I am not sure what you are asking. I'll answer the best I can.
If I open crograms/amazon/content there are 3 books in this file.
If I open crograms/amazon/kindle exe. there are 13 books
If I open c:documents&settings/diane/mykindle there are 3 books.

I hope this answers your question
Thanks,
Diane

attached are screen shots. The top one is when I open Kindle using a short cut on my desktop. The second one is c/program/Amazon. The content folder top left has 3 books in it. The exe. 2nd row 3rd icon has all the books. That's the file I would like to access with calibre.

Woohoo, I figured it out! What I did was download all of the books again to my computer. Opened Calibre/Add books and used the file path My Documents>My Kindle and the books showed up. When transferring I transfer as a Epub. And it all worked just like it was suppose to!
Thanks for everyones help it was appreciated.
