I have trouble believing that. The difference between the 3G US and International was merely the chip. The 3G on the K2 was meant to work across the globe. Just as the 3G on the K3 works internationally and so on.

It was CDMA - via Sprint. The International version and later were GSM.

It got muddy but at the time that they switched from Sprint to AT&T. I believe that the Sprint ones do not work outside the US but that the AT&T do. So part of knowing if it would work would be based on the serial number because I know that some are associated with Sprint and some AT&T, although I don't know which is which.

But for someone who does not know which version they have, there is a serial number match that they can check.
There are people who refer to the K2 International as a US version because they have the US chip. |
