Here's a few more, while we're on a roll:

1. What can go around the world, yet stays in a corner?

2. I am a solitary word, 5 letters long. Behead me once, I am the same. Behead me again, I am still the same?

3. A cowboy rode into town on Friday, stayed three days, and rode out again on Friday. How?

4. For what crime can an offender be arrested for attempting, but not committing?

5. What can you always count on when trying to solve maths problems?

The only one I think I know is number 3. The cowboy's horse is called 'Friday'.

I know, not the right answer, but, I think, it fits the bill.

[EDIT: having looked it up, the answer you're looking for is a lot more elegant. Although I think it's fair to say it's unlikely to go more than half way around the world.]
