Keep in mind that this movie will never will ANY awards, both male and female leads were first timers and paid for all production costs themselves. It's the 'idea' behind the movie that made it so wonderful.

Also, this was the first time Korean Hopkido was ever seen in US films. Prior to that it was Japanese Shotokan karate or Chinese Wing Chung (or what Bruce Lee turned that in to... Jeet kun do)

I'm halfway through the movie and stopping to make popcorn! I decided on Bombay Sapphire rather than tequila...

Glad to inspire a good dinner idea. We probably will end up with quesadillas for lunch or dinner to go with the remaining guacamole. It is great stuff. Lots of good fats, o ega threes, vitamins, and minerals. Toss I the tomato, onion, garlic, and lime and you are in good shape. The bag of tortilla chips required to eat the guacamole is not so godd but we must all make sacrifices.

I did think the acting in the opening scene with the two cops was a bit wooden, but that does not necessarily stop a film becoming a classic.

Morning all. This is a work day, I fear, but at least I had yesterday off. Went to the Farmer's Market, re-aquainted myself with my favourite vendors, caught up on what's happening on their farms, etc. The sun was out, the top was down, and it was all a good thing. Listening to 1632 by Eric Flint in the car, also a good thing.

This morning's fresh squeezed OJ and Peet's Major Dickason's are both gone, so I made a cup of Peet's Pride of Port. This is more of an afternoon tea than a "breakfast" tea, but it works well enough, and doesn't require milk.

Good morning, everyone! Another sunny day and work planned in the garden... Breakfast first.... A big mug of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea and toasted salami sandwiches just to raise the cholesterol levels a bit. Then it's off to the Garden Center!

The acting is like that for everyone, all the way through the movie. It's as if the film were done as a student project put together by amateurs. Acting, cinematography, script.... everything! This was part of a trilogy done by Tom Laughlin, the male lead, who produce, directed, and co-wrote the scripts. Laughlin also took it around to the theaters himself as well! It's almost like watching a high school play... It was a complete box-office flop when released, but somehow, that didn't stop it from becoming a hit when re-released five years later. Rent the video and watch it, with an eye towards 'Spiritual Man vs the System.' Of course Spiritual Man loses, but the ending of the movie will have you standing up and cheering!

That calls for another cup of Yorkshire tea!
