Good idea, ProfCrash!

McNultey's Tea and Coffee... ships worldwide. I buy my China Black and Extra Smokey Lapsang Souchong from them.

East India Company... some the very best Assam, Royal Breakfast, and Russian Caravan tea. Also ships worldwide.

Fortnum & Mason... Royal Blend, Assam, Irish Breakfast tea. Ships worldwide.

These are the best of the best. All long established tea merchants selling the finest blends and straight teas.

http://shop.tgtea.com/store/: Tea Gschwendner. I buy a ton of tea from them. All of my Rooiboses, Pu Erh Toucha's, Sencha, Bancha, Keemun. It really is a long list but all at home because I am drinking limited caffeine these days. The website I am using only ships to the US and Canada but I know that there is a German website that ships internationally. At the very least, you can check the US site for English descriptions and hopefully order from the German site.

http://www.gongfu-tea.com/start.shtml Gong Fu Tea. They are in Iowa and have the best selection of Oolongs that I know of. I love the Milk Oolong, Blue Spring Oolong, and Frozen Summit are my favorite. I have bought the Pu Erh cakes as well. The Camels Breath and the Seven Songs Bing are amazingly good.

http://www.rishi-tea.com/ Rishi Tea: I liked what I got from them but was not blown away. I have not completed a second order with them because I think that the quality is a bit better at TG and Gong Fu. I know that Rishi is available from Amazon which means it should be available to ship to Australia.

Hmmm. Went looking, to see what they had for Russian Caravan, but only bags. Maybe this is simply conjunctural? One hopes so. IAC, I'm going to put together an order from one or more of your suppliers. Always need to find new sources.

They change their lists often, depending upon the season. Right now they are not carrying 'Keemun Downy Bud' either, that I usually get from them. But even from the better tea merchants I would still hesitate to buy bagged teas. One or two of the good guys stipulate that they bag from their loose leaf teas rather than from separate fannings, but check carefully...

Right now, having just returned from a 200k mountain ride, we are both drinking down unbranded keemun from my little Chinese import shop. Much of our ride today went through various tea plantations, and soooo many of them are preparing for a gyokuro cutting. Whole mountainsides were covered with black netting! We often stop at the plantation shops so my wife can pick up their local specialty. I'll stick with black teas if I don't have Chinese greens in the house.

Hmm. I thought I saw the Keemun Downy Bud. But no matter. I'll check back periodically. I've got good sources for Keemun at this point anyway. The Peet's Lion Mountain Keemun is a good everyday Keemun, a definite step above the standard grades. And my Keemun Xian Zhen is ambrosia. I might add a Keemun A like this from Teaspring. Or from Capital Tea in Toronto. (They're a lot cheaper, and a very reliable source, IME. Another to add to your list, ProfCrash.)

What I'm looking for right now is a good Assam. I've had cheap ones, and they were simply too much for me since I don't add milk. Maybe something like this Hattialli Estate Assam from Capital? IAC, taking suggestions!

Peet's Major Dickason's in my mug. The fresh squeezed OJ is only a memory now.

I happen to enjoy both. I have been going through avocados like they are going out of style my entire third trimester.

Listen, children, to a story
That was written long ago,
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley-folk below.

On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone,
And the valley-people swore
They'd have it for their very own.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

... from one of the all time great cult films...

Good morning, everyone! We got in three great rides during this 'Golden Week' holiday, but the rains came down this morning, so it's a stay-at-home day. A good mug of East India Company 'Assam' tea for breakfast, along with Napoli salami, Fontina cheese, green olives, and fresh bread. Good stuff!

Surprisingly, the unbranded Keemun that I buy at the little Chinese import shop in Kyoto is the very best I've ever had. It's also the very cheapest I've found, which is a great combination. East India Company's 'Keemun Downy Bud' is good, but shades away from this unbranded stuff, so I only look at the East India site when I need to replenish my 'Royal Breakfast' and 'Assam.' The 'China Black' from McNultey's is a fantastic tea, but with a very different taste than most other Keemuns... so I don't consider it as one!

I'll stake my reputation on East India Company's 'Assam.' I never add milk or sugar to my teas so they need to be smooth all on their own!

Not bothered about the milk, but a big thumbs up for guacamole. I used to hate avocados as a kid (we had trees and trees of them in the back garden, and my Mum used to try inventive ways to get me to eat them. She once made a dessert from them without telling me what was in it, and when she admitted it I promptly threw up!). Now I can't get enough of them.
