I go to McDonald's every morning for a cup of coffee. I love their coffee.
I am only a little bit aware of the controversy about "pink slime". What is it, and why should I care? I have read that a cow produces only a small amount of hamburger meat, so the hamburger of 100 cows is bundled together for shipping purposes. No problem, unless one of those cows has a disease like e-coli. But my understanding is that this practice is an industry standard, not particular to McDonald's. Here in Raleigh, my favorite by far is Five Guys. |

Ahh, I had to Google Jamie Oliver. He doesn't listen to me either; he came up with it independently!

My favourite hamburger chain in Canada is Hero Certified Burgers. If you are ever in Canada, give it a try. You can top your burger with Brie or Gorgonzola! Best burger I've ever had.

McDonald's stopped using pink slime in its burgers over three months ago, so all those fine folks for whom that was the only objection can start eating there again.
