Thanks. ![]() |

I'm looking forward the the next Dresden book. For the most part, Ghost Stories didn't do a lot for me. Loved all the others, but Ghost Stories seemed more like a transitional book, kind of like, Butcher needed to get from the grand climax in Changes to the start of his next book and this was how he did it. Between that and James Marster not doing the audio, it's also the only Dresden book that I didn't also buy the audiobook as well as the regular book. It's worth reading, it's just not a book I will probably read multiple times.

Completed ... For Now
And so it is done! I have completed my reading of the Dresden Files series .... for now!
Ghost Story was.....something. I enjoyed it most towards the end, thanks to the Uriel, the tour, the destination, and the book-ending confrontation. I am very much looking forward to Cold Days! ![]() |

I'm finding Summer Knight a rather hard read. Not because of the story, but because of the very poor formatting. Seems the idiots at the publishers used a PDF file as the source and because of that, italics and small caps are messed up. I've fixed what I thought were most of the errors ahead of time, but there are more.
The italics originally had no space before and whatever was in front ran into the italics. Now I find anything with small caps have no space in front. Also, the italics all have a space after so if there's a period after, it is spaced. All of this just makes for annoying reading. Can we shoot the idiots who approved this monstrosity? Are any other of the books that follow on from Summer Knight this bad? I'm reading the ePub. |

The Kindle/mobi versions are all great. I noticed maybe 2 typos in 14 books, and no formatting issues other than missing ToC links in 2 or 3 of the books.
