I like the look and feel of a print novel, and there are many books I want to read that aren't available as ebooks, so yes, I do still buy them.

Beside being nice to have, there can be several benefits to buying paper books over their ebook counterparts.

If I'm looking to buy several mass market paperbacks, it makes sense to me to take advantage of Amazon's four-for-three deal and then buy an additional book to qualify for free shipping and to avoid taxes (for the time being). Other than that, there are lots of books that I'd prefer the bound version. Library of America ominbus editions are fine books to have along with Everyman's Library, etc. For something so nicely bound, there is no substitute. |

I'm currently travelling so ebooks are by far more practical (just imagine hauling a few dozen books on planes and buses - not to mention luggage costs). Last year I bought a tonne of books in Argentina, they're ridiculously cheap but its just not worth the hassel. I'm sure at times I'll return to buying a book but considering the price of ebooks.... I really couldn't say.
