What is a metadata.db-journal file?
I recently moved my calibre library to SugarSync and everything looks good. All files moved, including metadata.db.
However, there is one file which has had a status of "pending upload" for the last twelve hours. The file name is metadata.db-journal, file size 2KB, file type is db-journal.File. I do not remember ever seeing this file before. Can anyone identify it and explain what the purpose is? |

That file is normally used within the SQLite database software to handle transaction integrity for changes against the database. Normally it only appears for a second or two before it disappears.
