Interesting. In Austrailia, the film and sound on a film are public domain for any movie before 1955, except....The scriptwriter(s), producer(s), director(s), musical writers, set designers, and possibly the actors have to be dead before 1955 as well....

6 titles exact same price
1 title cheaper at Amazon
1 title cheaper at B&N

If B&N and others refuse to sell Amazon published books, why is it Amazon's fault that these are only available on Amazon?

Hmm, is that much of an issue?

I see lots of agitated presumed Bond lovers deploring the issue, but the only thing it makes me think of is that I was the only one I knew who wanted to spend 2$ on the widely available paperback Bond books back in 1980 (And that was the standard publishing price, not anyhow discounted).

Everybody else was not very interested, as they *are* quite different from the movies.

They are regular thrillers with "normal" cases like murders, he does *not* get to save the world everytime he picks up his gun, like in the movies. Also, there's significantly less sex - So why the sudden interest?

Luckily I have them all in DTB, include the more obscure non-fiction titles.

Agreed. I hate shopping at Wal Mart but there was one town I lived in where the Wal Mart was 10 minutes away and the Target was 45 minutes away. I ended up shopping at Wal Mart more often then I wanted to because I did not want to drive so far to go to Target.

If I want an e-book badly enough and it is available at BN only, I'll buy it from BN, strip the DRM and convert it to Mobi. No problem.
