A company with market dominance does have position of power in negotiations, that doesn't mean that suppliers have to be stupid and sign them over even more power.
But they are stupid and sign over all the power by selling the books with DRM.

Do I expect that they would come right up to the line where there is significant anti-trust risk? Yes.

Take air transport. Once in a while, the DoJ does step in and stop airlines from getting overall monopolies at a particular airport. But the result will often be some compromise, rather than totally killing the deal.
