The first 6 were available, and the next several after this are also available. These books sort of need to be read in order, and this is the kind of thing that drives people to darknet. It shouldn't be like this.
In the mid-1990's, I collected The Cat Who... books from the Mystery Guild Book Club and while I was able to order any of the older books in the series, The Cat Who Knew Shakespeare was the only one that I couldn't get.

Eventually, they did offer it and I bought it, but I hadn't seen it at all before then. I don't know if there is something special about it that they weren't able to offer it and I find it interesting that it is the *same* book that you can't get in a different format now.

This is one of the series that I need to collect as ebooks and I'm sad to hear that I'll have to keep at least one of my paper copies when I do.

I have wondered if that book had a different publisher, but according to everything I can find, that is not the case. The original publisher was Berkeley Publishing Group which published several others in the series. According to Amazon, the current publishers are Jove for the paperback and Headline Book Publishing for the hardcover, which are the same as other books in the series.

I don't understand anything about how the publishing industry works. Every time I try to read a MobileRead post discussing those things, it takes nanoseconds for my eyes to start glazing over. Still, I don't understand this.

Christie's last WRITTEN novels, such as "Postern of Fate" and "Passenger to Frankfurt" are pretty dreadful, IMHO.
I actually read PoF for the first time earlier this week (there were only 6 that I hadn't read before, and it's been something I've been meaning to tackle for years). I quite enjoyed it, although the ending was rather poor, and I think if I'd been reading her books for the first time ever I'd have been quite irritated that it gave away so much of the plot of N or M.

I noticed that the first of the series (Cop Hater) is available on Amazon for pre-order now, as well as a few more of his titles, so hopefully they are filling in those ebook gaps.
