Honestly if i were to ever alter my core system it would be a complete replacement like CM7,
I dont use any of the "Amazon brand" functions of my fire as it is
as I side load everything that I use on it.

The Amazon Video app will work on CM7. So will the Amazon App Store of course. We're trying to port everything else over at XDA.

I have tried various CM7 releases on previous Android-based ereaders but was never pleased with the overly done themes or lacking optimizations. But that ROM is fantastic. Looks like it frees up more storage (important for the KF) and it is smoother and more responsive than even my iPad2.
